Recently, Li Zhetao, Dean of the College of Information Science and Technology, and Luo Guowei, Secretary of the Party Committee, led a delegation to visit Guangdong Guangxin Communication Service Co., Ltd. The purpose of the visit was to engage in discussions about potential collaborations and employment opportunities for students. They were warmly welcomed by Qin Jianju, Assistant General Manager of Guangxin Communication, and Zhao Peng, Manager of the Guangzhou Baiyun Academy, who is also an esteemed alumnus of the school.
Productive Discussions and Future Plans
During the visit, Qin Jianju provided an overview of Guangxin Communication's history, business scope, and future development plans. He emphasized the importance of leveraging local advantages to enhance cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises, thereby offering greater employment and career development opportunities for students and helping retain local talent.
Luo Guowei expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and shared insights about the college’s initiatives and goals. He highlighted the strong alignment between the college's vision for talent cultivation and Guangxin's objectives, underlining the need for students to participate actively in practical and innovative enterprise environments. Luo stated that he looks forward to collaborative efforts that would allow students to secure relevant and meaningful positions upon graduation.
Strategic Cooperation Agreement
Both parties committed to developing outstanding talent characterized by professional skills and ethical integrity, thus contributing positively to the development of enterprises and society as a whole. They agreed to enhance cooperation in education, scientific research, and talent cultivation, sharing resources and building on each other’s strengths. This culminated in the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement meant to formalize their partnership.

At a subsequent symposium on school-enterprise cooperation, representatives from both sides engaged in fruitful discussions about their collaborative objectives. The involvement of alumni from the College of Information Science and Technology, who are already excelling in the communication and intelligent computing industries, brought significant insights into the planning of future endeavors. The symposium also featured the unveiling of the Excellent Engineer Club, which will serve as a new hub for alumni engagement and development.
Enhancing Talent Development
The strategic partnership aims to build synergies in several areas, such as human resources, communication channels, and intelligent operational services. Guangxin Communication, known as a pivotal player in Guangdong’s communication ecosystem, offers integrated services including call management, marketing, and operations in the ICT sector. Similarly, the Postal Talent Company focuses on training, recruitment, and management of personnel in the information and communication domain.

Qin Jianju facilitated a subsequent visit to the China Telecom Party School and the Guangzhou Red Telecom History Exhibition Hall, inspiring the team with insights into the telecommunications industry's historical significance.
The collaboration initiated through this visit not only signifies a commitment to enhancing employment opportunities for students at Jinan University's College of Information Science and Technology but also illustrates a model of partnership that benefits both the educational institution and the industry.
